What if we told you getting a job is easy?

    Yes. We said it.

Every career has a recipe: the right ingredients, added in the right order, at the right time. There are more jobs out there than you think. Most people were simply never handed their recipe. We broke the whole thing down, step by step, and Pathwei hands you yours.

    See the research

Inside Pathwei: the best of everything, at every step

Four parts, one journey. Each one is built on research, and each one does more than any tool you have used before.

    01 Diagnostic

We start with who you are, not just what you should do.

Most people do not truly know what they enjoy yet. The diagnostic finds out, then turns it into the careers that fit you, so you can feel sure the target is right before you aim at it.

    • Grounded in the research careers professionals rely on: occupational interest profiles from O*NET and Holland's RIASEC model, personality items from the International Personality Item Pool, and work values.
    • Written in everyday language, never careers jargon. You answer about real life, and we do the translating.
    • Fun from the first tap to the Reveal, with four kinds of question and no wrong answers.
    What most tests ask

"Do you prefer presenting to stakeholders, or managing an intern?"

    What we ask

"Would you rather plan the team picnic, or babysit your little cousin for the day?"

    02 Path

The monster. Every step to your dream job, in your hand.

Pick any job. Path lays out every step between you and it, dated to your timeline, and walks you through each one. It is the heart of Pathwei, built on three layers of research, and it turns a career into something you can actually finish.

    • What, why and how. Every step says what it is, why it is on your path and exactly how to do it, with the links to take you there.
    • Alternatives of equal strength. Cannot do a step? Swap it for one that counts just as much, so you never hit a dead end.
    • Start from anywhere. First year, final year, graduate, or not going to university at all.
    • Honest about time. Tell it you need this job in eight months. It tells you straight whether that is realistic, and if not, which roles you can reach in that time and the skills to build for them.
    • Gamified. Complete a step, watch the line light up, and move on. Momentum, not overwhelm.

    03 Services

Tools built to get you through, not just to look busy.

Your CV, your applications and your interviews, all built from the same record of you, so every tool knows where you are heading.

    • CV Builder, View My CV, CV Analysis and Tailor. Built to pass the applicant tracking systems employers really use, including Workday, Taleo and Greenhouse, and scored against what recruiters screen for.
    • Knowledge from the people who hire. Rules drawn from HR and recruitment professionals, careers consultants, university careers services, Prospects, TargetJobs and the Institute of Student Employers, with sector sources such as Wall Street Prep and PrepLounge.
    • Interview Simulator. Paste a real advert. It reads the job description and the company's values, then builds every stage: application fit, a psychometric test made for that advert, and behavioural and technical interviews asked the way HR asks. The report grades what you said, not just how you said it.
    • Find Opportunities. Connects who you are, your CV and your target, and finds the experiences, certificates and events you are the right level for, with their closing dates.

    Read our research
    Our mission

    The map always existed.

Every career has always had a route: what to learn, where to show up, when to apply. It was handed down quietly, to the people who knew the right people. We drew that map, and we are giving it to everyone.

    No university? No problem.

Pathwei is not only for students.

981,000 young people in the UK are not in education, employment or training. Most careers do not need a degree, and the ones that do can often be reached by building the skills another way. Not planning to go to university? There is still a path for you, and Pathwei will map it.

    Find my path
    Our vision

A world where your career success depends on who you are and how hard you work, not on who you know or where you are from.

    Our mission

To map every route to every career, and put the guidance, the tools and the people to walk it in everyone's hands.

    Honest by default

Real numbers, real sources, no fake countdowns. If we are not sure, we say so.

    Built for everyone

With or without a degree, a network or a plan. Designed with neurodivergent users in mind from day one.

    Research before opinion

Every rule behind a step or a score traces back to a source.

We started where most students are: I don't know.

Between the three of us, we have walked almost every route there is: certifications, placement years, internships, graduate schemes and full-time roles at Jaguar Land Rover, Toyota, PwC and Baker Hughes, side by side with university careers teams. We went through the hard parts so you do not have to. What we found: the problem is not a lack of talent. It is a lack of guidance.

    Research

    The research behind every step.

A path is only as good as what it is built on. Every step, score and suggestion in Pathwei traces back to research: published hiring standards, sector by sector rules, career theory, our own student surveys and input from careers advisers and recruiters.

The layered model: how a recommendation is made

Three layers sit underneath every tool. Each one narrows the advice from what is true for everyone to what is true for you.

    Layer 1

    Universal standards

How UK hiring works across the board: what applicant tracking systems such as Workday, Taleo and Greenhouse parse and reject, recruiter screening norms, and guidance from university careers services, Prospects, TargetJobs and the Institute of Student Employers.

    Layer 2

    Sector libraries

A dedicated library for each of ten sectors: Finance, Consulting, Tech, Engineering, Healthcare, Creative, Law, Education, Business and ops and the Public sector. Certifications, timelines, interview formats and what a strong CV looks like in each, checked by people who hire in them.

    Layer 3

    Your role and your record

The specific role you are aiming for, and everything you have already done: your answers, your CV, your completed steps. This is what makes the path yours.

    Confidential, and shareable on trust

The libraries themselves are our core asset, so we keep them confidential. We are happy to walk universities, partners and investors through the research under a non-disclosure agreement.

Built for the UK, ready for anywhere

Today every layer reflects UK hiring. The model is designed so each layer can be rebuilt for another country's standards, without changing how the product works.

Career theory: careers are not straight lines

Classic career advice assumes you choose once and walk in a straight line. Real careers bend. Our model is grounded in two theories that take that seriously.

    Mitchell, Levin and Krumboltz, 1999

    Planned Happenstance

Unplanned events shape careers, and people can make good luck more likely by staying curious, persistent and open. In Pathwei, events, insight days and conversations are steps in their own right, and every path leaves room for the unexpected.

    Pryor and Bright, 2011

    The Chaos Theory of Careers

Careers are complex systems: small changes can have big effects, and the route keeps changing. In Pathwei, steps have equivalents of comparable value, so when one door closes the path adapts instead of breaking.

    Nesta, 2020

    Mapping Career Causeways

Showed that jobs can be mapped by how close they are to each other in skills. It informs how we judge whether two steps, or two roles, are truly equivalent.

Voice of the student: 303 students, three waves

We asked before we built, and kept asking while we built. Wave 1: 144 students, February to March 2026. Wave 2: 106, April 2026. Wave 3: 53 beta users, July 2026.

    A paper we are writing

    Neurodivergent talent, overlooked by design.

Just 3 in 10 autistic adults in the UK are in work, against about 5 in 10 disabled people and 8 in 10 non-disabled people. That leaves around 7 in 10 autistic adults out of work.

Autism is only part of it. Almost 140,000 UK students have dyslexia, dyspraxia or ADHD, and recruitment processes and career tools are rarely built with any of them in mind. Of the 17 platforms we audited, one advertises any neurodivergent feature at all, and none names ADHD, autism or dyspraxia.

    Questions: the honest answers

Is the free plan really free?+

Yes. The diagnostic, your best fits, your path and the community cost nothing. The AI tools give you one free go each, and Wei gives you 20 messages a month. Pro and Max remove the limits.

Why is there a limit on the free plan?+

Every AI tool costs us money each time it runs. One free go of each lets you see what it does, so the free plan can stay free. Pro and Max remove the limits.

    Do I need the app?+

No. Everything works here on the website. The app arrives in March 2027 for when you are on the move, with notifications and reminders, and your account carries straight over.

    What is a season pass?+

Four months of Pro or Max for one payment, timed to a recruitment window. It works out 29% cheaper than paying monthly.

    Can I cancel?+

Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. Season passes and the Founding Member offer are one-off payments that do not renew.

We are a university. Why is the partnership free?+

Because the fastest way to help students is to be where they already are. You bring Pathwei to your students; we grow when some of them choose to upgrade. The licence exists for universities who want every student on Max. The Live Dashboard is priced on its own.

    Hi

    Diagnostic: what fits you

Answer honestly. Wei reacts as you go, and your three best fits open with everything behind them.

    For universities and careers teams

    Live Dashboard

Every student's plan, progress, CV and interview scores in one live view. Know who needs you before a deadline passes, and walk into every appointment already briefed.

    Illustrative data.

    Why it pays for itself

Careers teams are measured on outcomes they only see a year later. The dashboard shows them now, while there is still time to change them.

    Hit your targets

Track engagement and outcomes against your department's KPIs all year, not once a year.

    Lift graduate outcomes

Better outcomes feed league tables and the TEF, which shape your reputation and the students who apply.

    Spend where it works

See which programmes move CV and interview scores, and stop funding the ones that don't.

    Scale every adviser

Each student has a plan between appointments, so advisers spend their time where it changes something.

    Fewer surprises

Spot the gaps months before graduate outcomes data does, while students can still close them.

    Students and staff, connected

One shared plan between each student and the careers team, so help lands where it is needed.
